Pepparkakor Cookies

 

3 cups sugar

2 1/2 cups butter

1 bottle Karo dark syrup Heat & cool

4 eggs

12 cups flour (reserve 6 cups for rolling)

4 teaspoons cloves

2 teaspoons cinnamon

2 teaspoons ginger

4 teaspoons baking soda

 

Combine and refrigerate at least 24 hours

Bring to room temperature

Work flour into 2 cups dough until dry enough to roll out without sticking

Role as thin as you can make it

Cut your favorite shapes and decorate

 

350 degrees for 10 minutes
